These are places I shop and/or get stuff for the airplane. There are also some places to get aircraft for your show or for booking a ride or some dual instruction.
Matt, my assistant crew chief, gets some stick time in my other office -- a B-717 simulator. Thanks Terry for letting the kids do that.
Midwest Texans
Midwest Texans do maintenance and restoration on T-6s. Also connected with Tim Savage and Warbird Digest, a magazine worth reading.
Warbird Alley
Warbird Alley is Buck Wyndham's site on all civilian owned and operated warbirds. Lots of links and information.
Dixie Wing, CAF
My local unit and home to Red Nose, the Mustang I fly and you see on these pages. Located in Peachtree City, GA, just southwest of Atlanta we have lots of aircraft available for shows, rides and dual instruction. This website will show you what's happening and tell you how to contact us for an airshow booking, rides in the warbirds (including the Mustang) and some of our members that give dual in their aircraft.
Barnstormers.com
What can I say, they list everything.
TRARON
TRARON is the detachment of the CAF and teaches formation flying and is the representative of the CAF to the National FAST Board. Here you can learn about the detachment and about upcoming clinics if you're interested in getting your card.
The Commemorative Air Force
The link that will get you to the main CAF site, in case you don't live any where near Atlanta, GA.
Covington Aircraft Engines -- The Radial Division
I got mine in March of 2004 and they did a great job.
North American Trainers Association
Not only T-6s, but the B-25, P-51, and T-28 as well. Plus FAST information and a great magazine.
Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association
Since J's Bird is a Harvard.... only right you should check out this site.
1941 Historic Air Group
The people who do Geneseo, that great show you see the Mustang pictures from. The best on grass.
Texan Flight
"Gintac's" site about flying T-6s in Culpepper, VA. He also offers instruction in the SNJ.
J's Bird T Shirt -- Support the aircraft
If you'll go to the shop I've set up, each purchase helps these airplanes keep flying. Thanks in advance.
RAM Mounting Systems
The system to mount most anything anywhere. I use it in J's Bird for the Garmin 396 I have and have another ball mount in the Mustang -- takes about 30 seconds to switch airplanes.
