Finally made it back to the best airshow I've ever participated in...

It rained most of Friday afternoon, which kept the arrivals down so not so many airplanes this year.  But some good ones.  We had a four-ship of Mustangs, the Lysander, a DH Rapide, the Helldiver, etc., etc.  As always, a very enjoyable event.

Saddling Up by Chris Polhemus
I flew four times in the show and I'm not sure which one this is, like it matters.

The first of many Mustang pictures....

We took all kinds of Mustang pictures.  This one by Jack Tyson from the Tom Huff's Bamboo Bomber.  Not easy hanging in at 140 knots, on a good day, downhill, with a tailwind.

Good Ole 79M
This is Chris, not me, but she's still my favorite.

Even on the outside....
It's tough hanging in the turn.  Photo by Eric Dumigan.

Maybe you wonder why you only see the left side...
One, that's where the emergency exit is on the Beech 18 and they took that out to shoot out of.  Two, it's a little easier for us to fly on that side because of our right hand on the stick, although we can fly off the other side, most fighter pilots like to go to the left.

Saturday's Missing Man
Three D's and a C.  Doug goes up and away abeam the crowd for Saturday's Missing Man.  Jack Tyson took the picture.  I'm lead, Chris Baranaskas is two and Mark Murphy, four.
